Having made the Britney Spears video there are things that I’ve learnt during the process. The whole concept of filming is very time consuming and we found as a group that many single shots took a long time to produce. Finding good locations and getting other people involved was a hard task because few people wanted to take part or be extras in the background. Being one of the Britney’s and helping to film others roles I found that lip syncing was extremely difficult as we needed to have the music playing all the time wherever we were to fit in time with Britney herself singing. Also with editing learning to use the software and making sure timing of each shot matched exactly filled majority of lesson times.
For me I would have to say that working together and enjoying performing was what I enjoyed most throughout the task. Getting to go off from lessons and work in a group that all wanted to get involved and then dressing up with school shirts and having a laugh made us all come together, which is why I’m looking forward to producing a music video in our main project. Particular strengths from my own assessment would be my willingness to take part because I tried hard to get people involved and volunteered several times to help out and be the Britney for the group
Having said this, I think we now all have a little better experience when it comes to our group project because we know we must focus on the time we have to film and making sure enough time is left for editing! I will take into the next project editing skills, time management skills and group work skills to hopefully produce a worthy piece of media.
